It has been ages, since i last posted something here... and it certainly feels like my blog has been parked somewhere in an abandoned virtual site collecting cyber dust.. so here are the few things ive been swamped with.. first comes my job, which i did remarkably well last month and hopefully it continues till i decide to throw in the towel, then comes the friends ive yet to catch up with.. with reference to the one which has flown to Qatar, my partner in crime Eden. Hope you're doing well there Buddy. My tight gym schedule and the rest of the significant others scattered in Singapore and Malaysia and not to mention those in China and Philippines, you know who you are. I've yet to plan my next meet ups with them.. well good news is im back online! yay! well there are just too many things to tell in one post, too many and too complex that it stays within my pregnant mind waiting to be blurted out.

Anyways, on a more cheerful note, i hit my b-grade last month, which is quite an achievement for a newbie like me. well im sure most of y'all have no clue what creature a b-grade is.. well lemme enlighten you. B-grade is a title given to officers who manages to hit a certain target in sales. well no intention to brag but i closed S$500k sales last month.. for someone who has no background in sales, i guess thats something to shout about. tee hee..

so enough of that.. im planning on a short trip to KL next month.. hopefully i'll get my chance to meet my longlost friends in the deep concrete jungle of KL.

Never in my wildest dream that i'd imagine to see myself working in a banking firm well at least to be doing something apart from which i knew i was born to do. but it all came unexpectedly... and they say opportunity like this wont drop outside your doorstep everyday.. so i took it.. and now im watching numbers flowing down my screen.. digits with value so tremendous that it gets you wondering how great would it be to have this much money in your account.. haha

but im pretty sure that someday i will.. haha and with the right spirit and determination.. everyone can.. ;)

I received an email from a person whom i shall not disclose, a query which i do not have an answer to as my knowledge of the respective person and his whereabouts is rather limited but ill try my best. To sender, bear in mind that i have only served his company or organization for merely a short period of time therefore any misconduct and wrongdoings committed by him are pretty much out of my knowledge radius.

Met up with Hugo Boss for an appointment the other day and some of you might be wondering why, well its that moment in your life where you feel an abrupt change is necessary to get you closer to what you dream of becoming. Although this change may just be a drastic one, it is undoubtably nothing wishy-washy.

The following is a conversation between me and the fashion director:

BOSS: So why the sudden change of field?..

Jufy: well fashion and art have always been my sole interest, and to be able to phase into fashion will significantly bring a whole new meaning to my ever growing interest in fashion. In designing, ideas are poured into a piece of artwork and handed over to the middle person so ordinarily, a designer will not get the end-say of an output. Handling sales and representing a brand however, will put me as the middle person which obligations are to get the customers heard and their satisfactory fulfilled. Hence, I believe if i can help market these brands, i can market my ideas to the masses someday.

BOSS: Hmm, well i think i have something just for you. It's something along the line of Dolce & Gabbana.

Ever heard of Dsquared before?.. Apparently its big in the States among celebrities... and i heard they're opening one in ION Orchard. hehe

Anyways, my elaboration wasnt really that extensive as above. I just had to add a few words for better reading.

Lets face it, some designs we see.. be it clothing or artworks or anything. they can be quite uniform, quite predictable right from the first glance. Could it be because we design something out of personal preference? or there just isn't any R & D in design. whatever it is, i've yet to find out.

I'm taking baby steps. Hopefully this will help pave my way to my goals..

Well 2008 has passed and it feels like everything goes in a blink of an eye, see how fast time passes us by. The only word that can concisely summarize my 2008 would be 'Chaotic' and almost all events transpired contributed to each letter. But of course there were alotta good times too. Made new acquaintances and partner in crime so it wasn't really all that bad.

Last X'mas i made a dedication video for the Students of Lanzhou University of Finance and Economy, China. Well nothing fancy just a short clip of me in a Santa hat uttering some nonsense to some uni kids which i took for some kindergarten young-tykes. haha know your audience Jufy!.. here's a clip of me and a shot of the xmas/new year event which was taken at the school ;)

Friends know no boundaries, we make friends wherever we go. We make new friends and we cherish the old ones (well those who dont bite you back in the ass of course haha:P) and i gravely wish for our paths to cross someday then we'd sit down and talk for hours. Reminisce the past and the fun we had, the rules we broke, all the silly things we've done not to mention the great ones too. New experience comes from new expedition we embark upon with new friends we make.

Topsy turvy week it has been, emotional rollercoaster, job on the line and vexing encounters. Have you ever been cheated by a salesperson who took you for someone dumb?. Its a surprise a well doing optician store inside a reputable mall infested with huge brands & boutiques *hint Paragon* to be selling such appalling made imitation-like (as if poor built quality isnt bad enough) sunnies yet cost a bomb. Thatd totally cost the shop its name and Oakley for such unscrupulously made product lineup. Worst, label it as "limited edition" Sunnies "sold only in Singapore". Sunnies were badly color coated with low grade factory material finishing, one could mistakably think it was purchased at some diy Sunnies quickstop. That could really affect brand sales whereas brand authenticity is highly questionable, which could cause a major damage to Paragon and all its glory in the long run..

The excitement's turning into a phobia as everytime i get to my gym there'll be eyes ogling at you.. the predacious stare that'll send shiver down to your bone.. its creepy.. and worst thing is that it only occur to me when im in the friggin men's changin room!.. now how messed up is that?..Fitness First should really provide rooms for those with different sexual orientation.. It is normal to see buttnaked guys in the men's changing room showing off their package, well maybe without the intention to galvanize or stir up a situation but i'd rather keep some things to myself or maybe with those that matter to me :P so normally i'll change into my boxer brief before hitting the shower or to dry myself up.. it was this one particular day.. i decided to use the sauna room.. as a good detox practice to eliminate all toxic from your body.. and there was a guy in there in the hot stuffy room.. read the following conversation..

Then right after that.. he brushed his palm across my lap..

To myself: ok what was that all about?.. naah im sure it was unintentional..

He then placed his arm around me touching my shoulder..

To myself: ok this is gettin freaky.. i should get a f*ck outta here at the front door before something enters my backdoor..

Jufy: the gym is about to close soon.. i better go..

So i left the sauna room.. and headed for the shower, then i saw him coming out to the shower too..

To myself: *makes a U-turn* i do not want to go down this way..

So i went back to my locker to dry my sweat.. after i saw him got out from the shower.. i dashed into the shower cubicle and took a shower like real quick.. please note that all the cubicles there cant be locked so anyone can just enter and i shan't say more..my heart was thumping hard.. once done, i got out and there he was.. i had to bypass him to get to my locker.. he stared hard at me.. i just kept looking straight.. so he got his clothes on, and left...

what a relief.. a gush of air exited my mouth..

i put my clothes on.. and left the gym.. quickly i took my cellphone out.. called a friend..

On the phone: You're not gonna believe what the f*ck happened to me just now!..

before i get to finish my call.. i saw a familiar face.. there he was right in front of me.. still looking.. bet he was trying to check if im going back his way..

Jufy: *sigh* another U-turn...

I stayed.. and he left.. this time for real.. gosh what the f*ck was that all about?..

with all due respect to all the gay community.. i am not against your ideology of the differ perspective nor that i am a homophobic as i do have gay acquaintances but please... check with them if they're swinging your way before you start hitting on them..

I was approached by a Modelling Agency few days back somewhere in Orchard, and im sure some of you guys have too.. there's nothing glam about this as there are rumours about these agencies on how they manipulate you to sign up with them and make you pay shitloads of money to support their dying business. The scam is real as this fraudulent act has been ongoing for god knows how long.. people have fallen for it and i wouldnt wanna add up to the number.. of course your portfolio would still be published but be prepared to hand em' the cash.. but frankly, i wouldnt pay that much for some fancy shots of meself..

I quitted my new job 2 weeks ago.. shocking?.. No.. but it hit me hard, the thought of leaving everyone, going our separate ways... its saddening... well if it wasnt because of our British boss and his muck mouth. We wouldve stayed and things wouldve been better. Well i guess you cant have it all. not in this world.. now with everyone leaving the company, finally He's getting his taste of retribution.. cut all the "im in deep shit so imma be nice to you" crap... we aint buyin it..

Had an appointment with my trainer last night at One Raffles Quay for an orientation evaluation where i was briefed on the basic machine introduction and how to train your body right.. At first i thought training is as easy as lifting dumbbells or barbells on the free weights, i was wrong.. there are steps to follow because you don't want your body to get out of proportion unless you wanna end up looking like Quasimodo. That reminds me that i need to watch my eating habit too.. Oh, did i tell you that ive been taking alot of raw eggs?.. hmm yummy..

When it comes to taxis in spore, there could only be one thing that'd ring in your head.. something it is synonymous to.. and that is poor service and bad attitude.. well frankly ive never experienced any bad or ill treatment from them until one night after my late movie.. i dashed into a blue cab.. why blue cab one might wonder.. well i dont carry cash around much, i normally pay with my Visa card/Nets wherever i go therefore i only bring my cards out.. and it is written boldly on the cab door and no it cant get any more conspicuous than that..that they do accept Nets/Visa.. so i got in.. the taxi drove me back and stopped at the nearest stand to my block.. the following conversation took place when i was gonna pay for the fare..

Driver: thatd be 14 dollars sir.

Jufy: nets?..

Driver: owh sorry my machine is down..

To make this simpler to understand.. imma cut some unimportant dialogues out..

Driver: ill take you to the nearest ATM

Jufy: ....................

After 15 minutes of roaming around looking for an Auto Teller.. we finally found one and the driver drove me back to the spot where we stopped..

Driver: now thatd be 18 dollars..

Jufy: for?..

Driver: for taking you to the bank and drove you back..

Jufy: excuse me, its not my fault your machine isnt working and its not like your door says we have to have cash at all times.. clearly it says that you accept NETS or VISA.

Driver: so are you going to pay or not?.. if not then im going to call the cops..

Jufy: haha really?.. go ahead..

Driver dials his phone and make a report against me..

Driver to the Officer on the phone: sir i have a passenger who refused to pay, block number bla bla bla...

Driver: the cops are on their way..

Jufy: awesome..

We waited.. and waited..

Driver: ........................... *pissed*

An hour has passed...

Driver: i dont think they're coming, its ok you dont have to pay.. consider yourself lucky... take that as a SIN money.. i dont want your money..

To myself: WTF?..

Jufy: lets just be fair alright.. imma give you that 14 bucks and not more..

Driver: i dont need your money..

Jufy: *throws the money on the front passenger seat and gets out of the cab*

The Macbook Pro that ive been bragging about is finally in my possession! and i am now going mobile and blogging to you live from Starbucks somewhere in the busy town of Singapore. Went for yet another casting session which was conducted at the NTU Alumni Club near Buona Vista and this time there were not many who turned up as it was predicted since countless sessions have been carried out and safe to say that we've covered almost 60% of the Singapore population. We normally engage models or those who are experienced with a pleasant look to come for the audition, some came equipped with talents and some came with nothing but big boobs and pretty face to flaunt. Funny that sometimes when i read lines with them, you get this feeling that these "mannequins" should just stick to print ads or cover page of a magazine. :P

Its been months now ever since i started going to my neighborhood gym and it takes alot to get yourself in shape. Determination and hardwork is one of them because without those 2, youll be wasting your time and not to mention, money. i visited a fitness centre couple days back and i got myself these babies..

Its the Kettlers gloves for heavy lifting. It helps protect your palm from blisters and with the cushion pads, you wont have to worry about skin problems. ok that may sound abit feminine-y but im tellin ya, those gloves work wonders and they help you lift those dumbells with ease, so say goodbye to blisters!

After months of intensive workout, ive finally made to a point where "look good, feel good" is not just a mere statement. feel good, look good certainly has a new uplifted meaning now. well you know what i mean..

Go on, hit that ball sweetheart..

The clock struck 11pm as many Singaporeans would put on their PJ's and get ready to count them sheeps.. but it just doesn't work for me.. i'd join those sheeps and leap over that fence with my gear on and get myself some good entertainment. well at least that's how my body works for me..

like gym would even try to stop me.. well it couldn't.. wont let it..

so we (with housemates) played a few games of pool or billiards whichever you kids call it these days. the game ended at 2am with a trophy in my hand.. haha naah that'll come later when i start counting my sheeps.. haha but we were pretty good on that 2 on 2 match. good enough to make one of us restless that night thinking about the match haha. will look forward to his good comeback..

Just as i thought i've lost it completely, as it left no trace in my head where i might have dropped it or chucked it. But to much relief, it came prancing back to me haha the old gentle shopkeeper lady was kind enough to hand it back to me as i was getting my hands on a bread from the shelf.

Shopkeeper: Did you lose something?..

Jufy: (Surprised to know that she can read my mind).. Yes i did..

Shopkeeper: *Testing*.. What color is it?..

Jufy: White! In a leather casing!..

She then took it out from beneath the counter..

I couldn't hold back the excitement.. well you get the picture.. the cheek to cheek grin like someone stuck a hanger in my mouth, like i just found the oasis and trying hard to squeeze a word out but it just wont come out kinda face..

the conversation went on, i was in a not-myself-joyous tone, people were staring, i was so hyped out as if i was on steroids..

*sigh in relief*..

When life reaches a point of stagnance, there’d be no comeback or clever words that could turn it around to make it sound any cooler than the inevitability of such occurrence. It’s a norm when life gets into a routine of complete mundaneness, one seek the thrill of life that one can get. monotonousness was getting to me, until someone decides to pay us a visit, we sure to have it spruce up again with buckets full of red paints, we'll gear up to hit the town..

May came to visit, being affiliated to the local music industry, she gets all the peeps from the scene to welcome her. With this opportunity, i met the vocalist of Allura, Inch. A petite girl with a voice worth a major record label. Rendezvous set at Home Club, we chilled till morning. too engrossed with the conversation, we almost forgot that the roosters have gone home after the morning cockadoodle doo.. We had fun laughing our heads off to silly talks.

We went for Mumbo Jumbo, boy that was fun. Head down to Republic Polytechnic for a gig which was pretty alright. Wasn’t as hyped as the one back at home but all in all good show.

After listening to their album for quite sometime, it finally grew on me. Being the thoughtful person that she is, May managed to get a hold of their album cd (available only at selected stores).. Exclusively just for me haha it’s the Bittersweet's Perfect match album. Killer tracks that make you go bobbing your head away listening to them. Thanks May for being such a good sport!, and thanks for the t-shirt you brought me (lovin the "Rock Rebel and Pop!" stitches) and the badges and the LV paper bag, sure had me fooled for a while there thinking that i might be getting some LV goods haha.

But that was when I ruled the world..

Thanks to the American Association of Singapore for throwing such an incredible event, the crowd was amazing, people had a great time the performance was beyond inexplicably awesome. Almost everyone had the American flag on 'em. I was truly astounded to see such enthusiasm displayed by the fellow Americans. Many came with their kids and mats waiting to be unrolled on the soft grass, it was like a massive picnic fest but above all, the best thing about the 4th of July, and no you cant celebrate without it, it is the barbecue. All you can eat and find, is barbecue of all sorts.. oh boy it doesnt get any better than this trust me.

Last but not least, me and my man Obama chillin' and Mccain at the back hatin' on us. haha better luck next time buddy.

Met up with Mr. Aaron Khoo, financial consultant of Prudential for some tea, as promised. Had a little chat on money matters and career building, and him being who he is.. a financial consultant, he hit me with some of the lowdown on how to double our money and to realize our dreams by the time we hit 30. talk about becoming rich and famous haha alot to catch up.. so i told him how much i love clothes designing.. and boy didnt he have alot to tell.. as it turns out, he has some substantial amount of interest in clothes designing and we had a great talk on this.. great tailors where to find them, well reliable ones unlike some that ive met before.. home of good textiles. maybe i could try writing to NAFA or La Selle.. see if we can work something out..

A colleague had introduced me to a film director in India, who's currently gathering short films to be showcased at a film fest..

its a short film club that happens every month and its called SHAMIAANA. It happens at a hip joint in South Bombay on the 1st Sat. of every month & touchwood is growing very fast:)We plan to have more chapters of SHAMIAANA all over India in the times to come. An excerpt taken from a script joseph(director) had written to which i utter expressively to the girls who came for our audition. We're still getting our potential cast members to play in our featured film which will be realeased sometime next year. Shunyi(producer) and i scouted the whole of zouk for talents and managed to get a hold of some contacts. We surely had a blast that night.. haha
